Cheque/Cash Order Forms for Payments Elsewhere
Where a voucher is presented to obtain cash for a payment to be made elsewhere, it must be accompanied by a cheque/cash order form signed by the officer authorising the voucher and bearing the signature of the authorised receiving officer; a separate form is required for each voucher. The form is retained as a temporary voucher until the payment voucher is returned duly receipted. Vouchers withdrawn against such forms must be returned within seven days; if payment cannot be effected, the cash and unreceipted voucher must be returned and a Treasury Receipt obtained and endorsed on the voucher. Officers authorised to draw cash/cheques on the strength of such a form must not be below Accountant II or Higher Executive Officer (Accounts).
