Checking and Passing Payment Vouchers

Payment vouchers must be passed to the checking section to ensure that all requirements of a valid voucher are present. After checking, the voucher is to be stamped “checked and passed” for payment at the stated station and signed by the checking officer. Vouchers received by the checking section must be dealt with promptly and must not be held there for more than 48 hours.
