MDA Responsibilities for Sick Officers

Permanent Secretaries/Heads of Extra-Ministerial Departments/Agencies must arrange for appropriate officers to maintain up-to-date residential addresses; make enquiries at a recorded address where an officer's absence is unexplained within 48 hours; report to the nearest Government Hospital where an officer is too ill to present for examination; instruct or authorise officers who report sick in accordance with Rule 080304 and provide an examination note; and initiate action to constitute a Medical Board where desirable.
