Private Medical Facilities — Emergency and Reimbursement Conditions

In an emergency warranting use of a private facility, the applicant must ensure transfer to a State Hospital within 24 hours of admission. Bills from private hospitals in non-emergency situations will not be considered. Original receipts must be produced on request by the Ministry of Health. A receipt above ₦10,000 must be accompanied by a valid Medical Report countersigned by a Doctor in a Lagos Public Health Facility, while a receipt above ₦100,000 is reviewed by the State Medical Board.
