Increment Decisions Following Performance Defects

An officer whose increment is withheld or deferred must be informed in writing of the reasons and, where deferred, its duration. Where powers are not delegated, the matter goes to the Commission. The Accountant-General and Auditor-General must be informed. Where an increment is granted despite defects in service, the defects must nevertheless be brought to the officer's attention.
